A large open plaza. In the center, an enormous fluted column, at the top of which Big Brother's statue gazes southward towards the skies where he had vanquished the Eurasian aeroplanes in the Battle of Airstrip One. In the street in front of the plaza, there is a statue of a man on horseback which is supposed to represent Oliver Cromwell.
