The Starless Sea is made up of stories, stories in books, stories made up of machines and images in our minds. Stories written on parchment, scratched on statues, written on ribbons, and scrawled on random pages folded into stars.

To wander here is to, in Erin Morgenstern's eloquent phrase, 'Sail the starless sea and breathe the haunted air!'

In Morgenstern's wonderful novel the underground world is filled with such stories, in this homage to her work we have invited all visitors to fill our world with such things as well. Many writers, poets, dreamers, wanderers, and artists, have created this world and you are welcome to join them!
