The Wanderer
The Wanderer

You see a man in a coracle-boat, his face careworn and wind-weathered. He is the eardstapa (in Modern English, the earth-stepper, or "The Wanderer,") one of the most famous personae in Old English literature (well, in this world he's a "bot," but let's not split hairs!)

If you wait for a moment, you'll hear the Wanderer's famous lament in its original Old English. Once you've had your fill of listening to the sounds of Anglo-Saxon poetry, you should interact with the bot...

As a bot, he has key words, sentence patterns, random responses, and question responses. He has some ability to recognize where he is and to whom he is talking. Type @exam The Wanderer to see all the available commands. To start up the bot, activate it, and say hi or hello!
