Welcome to Moll's World, an interactive guide to Daniel Defoe's novel Moll Flanders and to eighteenth-century English culture.

Moll's World allows students to research via the virtual spaces eighteenth-century culture while engaged in reading Defoe's novel. The virtual spaces take students into the world of eighteenth-century crime and punishment, fashion and popular culture, property, and domestic life.

Virtual World Goals:
1. Students will enter the virtual spaces and visit links in order to study the paraliterary texts that influenced Defoe.

2. Students will take on the role of specific characters in the virtual world to discuss the interpersonal relationship in the novel.

3. Students will navigate the the virtual world based on economic and gender characteristics while discussing the significance of these issues in the text and in the study of eighteenth-century culture overall.
