This large room holds the Inn's long bar. Many customers are leaning against it or are seated on benches at heavy tables which are much stained with ancient drink spills. The publican holds forth behind the long bar conversing with his guests and serving the quality ale and spirits for which customers return to this otherwise unassuming hostelry.
