C-141
C-141

Called "the Starlifter," the C-141 is large enough to carry 138 passengers, litters for 80 wounded, and over 60,000 pounds of cargo. The Starlifter had much better lifting strength than volume for cargo, so it generally ran out of cargo space before it reached its weight limits. For this reason, the United States Air Force withdrew it from service in May, 2006, and replaced it with the C-17 Globemaster.
