I am the Blacksmith, and most people call me Smithy. I work at my forge everyday except for the Sabbath. I pay Mrs. Baker a small fee to prepare my meals for me because I have no wife. She's a good cook, and I often join the Baker family at their home for my main meal of the day. Because I have no sons, I'm thinking about apprenticing Garthe this year. He's a good lad, and strong. You need that to be a Smith, to work the metal. Plus you need a gentle spirit to work with the horses, and Garthe has that gentleness about him that most people don't see.
