Tabard Inn Bar Parlor
Tabard Inn Bar Parlor

In this backroom, you see an extension of the Inn's bar where it continues from the main room of the hostelry. A pitcher of small beer, one of mead, and one of ale sit on the bar and a good-looking earthy young woman stands behind the bar pouring when requested. A long trestle table stands along the back wall with benches and stools around it. On the table there is a large map and a smaller chart showing the proposed route to the shrine of Saint Thomas a Beckett in Canterbury.
