Here is a picture of Pieter Stout made of him before his parents' unfortunate decision to send him to Rome on a Children's Crusade. He perished in the Swiss Alps, in a rock strew valley south west of the highest peak. The grave site is marked with an unusual outcropping of stones shaped like a cross. The rocks have a distinct rusty red coloring, unusual for the area.
