The City Hall of Hamlin, Germany was not called City hall it was called the house of records. The name explains it all, this was the place were all the records of everyone in the town was kept. This was a small employment place, but this would be were the councilmen resided. All important business regarding the town and the people in it would be taken care of at this very spot.
It was not unusual to see children running around the building playing games of some sort. This might be a good place to look for clues regarding there disappearance.
