Shakespeare's Histories
Shakespeare's Histories

Within this shelf you will find digital copies of Shakespeare's histories. The histories explore people and stories from England's past - the history of England from the perspective of the Elizabethan era. Many of Shakespeare's histories can also be classified as tragedies, though many think of Henry IV, Part One as a comedy.

To access one of the histories, simply choose a title from the shelf, click on it, and then click on the link inside, which will open an opensourceshakespeare.org edition of the play. For more information on the opensourceshakespeare project, visit http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org.

To take a particular volume from the shelf, use the "take" command. For example, if you want to take a copy of Richard III, type "take Richard III from Shakespeare's Histories" into the dialogue box.

Remember, nothing can be checked out of the Shakespeare Learning Library, so please return any book to the shelf from which you take it.
