Within this shelf you will find digital copies of Shakespeare's tragedies. Tragedy, unlike comedy, generally ends with multiple deaths and murders. Often the tragedies are centered around a single tragic male protagonist - always a nobleman of great political position - with a tragic flaw that leads to his downfall.
To access one of the tragedies, simply choose a title from the shelf, click on it, and then click on the link inside, which will open an opensourceshakespeare.org edition of the play. For more information on the opensourceshakespeare project, visit http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org.
To take a particular volume from the shelf, use the "take" command. For example, if you want to take a copy of Hamlet, type "take Hamlet from Shakespeare's Tragedies" into the dialogue box.
Remember, nothing can be checked out of the Shakespeare Learning Library, so please return any book to the shelf from which you take it.
